Overview

Event Manager provides IT staff with real-time threat detection and prioritization across all the systems and applications in the organization’s environment. No matter where a security event originates from, Event Manager translates the data into a single, easy to understand format to save time.

The amount of security event data generated can be overwhelming and often leads to important information being missed. Event Manager logs, correlates, prioritizes and escalates critical alerts to be sent directly to security analysts, ensuring they don’t waste time on benign events. Additionally, Event Manager provides a customizable dashboard to view the threats in real-time and get full event summaries of what happened.

The solution can be up and running quickly with out-of-the-box templates for common assets such as Windows servers and Oracle databases. In fact, Event Manager can integrate with virtually any device by providing a tool to convert custom data sources.

In 2019, Core Security released a free-version of Event Manager, with all the features of the paid version for a limited number of devices. This allows users to immediately start gaining insight into their environment which is a great fit for smaller organizations who might still be building out their security portfolio.

Most SIEM solutions are solely designed for large enterprises, but with Event Manager’s predictable pricing model and ability to scale, it’s ideal for any size organization.
