Overview

Waratek makes enterprise applications self-protecting. Waratek provides transparent, runtime application self-protection (RASP) containers for web applications deployed in datacenters and cloud environments. This is a disruptive new approach to application security using virtualization that protects enterprise applications and data from logic attacks like SQL Injection, network attacks and unpatched vulnerabilities at runtime, without code changes, additional hardware and without meaningfully impacting the performance of the app. Waratek monitors, detects and blocks threats in the Java runtime in real-time, to enable applications to self-protect without generating false positives. With Waratek, organizations gain visibility into malicious activity, enforce security policies and virtually patch vulnerabilities at runtime without requiring a restart. The platform mitigates against vulnerabilities in legacy application platforms, third party and open source code, and effectively counters Zero Day malware. Further, the newest version of Waratek recently released automatically modernizes any web application running on a legacy version of Java to inherit all the security and performance improvements associated with Java 8 without even changing one line of code or performing a restart.

How we are different

Waratek makes enterprise applications self-protecting. According to Gartner Inc.’s Top 10 Security Predictions 2016, by 2020, 40 percent of enterprises will secure developed applications by adopting application security self-testing, self-diagnosing and self-protection technologies. Gartner recommends companies adopt runtime application self protection (RASP).

Waratek has pioneered the RASP through virtualization approach to security that protects new and legacy applications without the need to make any code changes or impacting application performance. Waratek delivers out of the box protection against most severe known vulnerabilities as well as unknown attacks.
