How we are different

Nightwing is executing a business model that few other companies in the national security field can bring to market. After spending four decades within a large, complex Fortune 100 company, the business spun off as its own intelligence services and cybersecurity company last year. That puts Nightwing in the unique position of having the knowledge, technology, and talent base of a much larger organization without the limitations common with larger, more bureaucratic enterprises. Instead, Nightwing is a highly agile company, swiftly anticipating and meeting customer mission needs in a fast-moving and unpredictable threat landscape.

Nightwing is taking proactive measures to address the cyber skills gap the industry is facing through its own internal training program, Nightwing Labs. This program cultivates internal engineering talent for cybersecurity roles while boosting the retention of elite cybersecurity personnel on staff. Students receive offensive cyber training with extensive experiential learning through hands-on instruction and labs from industry experts. Engineers from adjacent disciplines, as well as entry-level engineers, learn the tactics and techniques employed by cyber attackers. As students progress through the program, they receive curricula personalized to their future roles and missions. This approach informs Nightwing engineers how attackers think and how to best defend against them.

Nightwing invests heavily in the talent who will guide the future of our industry. Through mentorship and training, Nightwing prepares students and young professionals for the rapidly evolving demands of the modern workforce. We demonstrate this commitment in a number of ways, particularly through cybersecurity scholarships for deserving students. Additionally, the business has supported multiple initiatives aimed at promoting the cybersecurity career field to include sponsorship and participation in the U.S. Cyber Games and National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC). Nightwing is strongly committed to developing the next generation of highly qualified cybersecurity talent.
