CodeMeter Embedded is designed for intelligent device manufacturers to master IoT security challenges and protect the integrity of their application code and know-how on industrial PCs, embedded systems, mobile devices, tablets, Programmable Logic Controllers, Field Programmable Gate Arrays and microcontrollers against product counterfeiting, software piracy and tampering, sabotage or espionage cyber-attacks.
The product expresses its interoperability on many other levels as well. A signature feature of this turnkey solution is its support for multiple platforms: VxWorks, QNX, Windows, Linux, OS X, Embedded Linux, Windows Embedded Standard and Compact, B&R, CODESYS, OPC UA. The complementary hardware-based containers storing encryption keys and entitlement credentials have even been designed to withstand substantial temperature (-40 to +105°C) and humidity swings. They too come in many different form factors, including asics, USB dongles, and memory cards (SD, microSD, CF and CFast).
The security by design approach of CodeMeter Embedded does not end with the encryption of code or its communication channel to the device, anti-debug methods or secure boot. This IoT-ready package is fully compatible with CodeMeter License Central for creating, delivering, monitoring and managing licenses. Its extreme flexibility makes it a perfect tool for controlling production volumes and generating scalable revenue models.
