As Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder of threat intelligence platform provider Anomali, Colby Derodeff is a recognized thought leader and innovator in the cybersecurity industry. He plays an instrumental role in the continued growth of Anomali by cultivating strong relationships with customers, analysts, media and the security community.
Colby is committed to continually adapting the groundbreaking Anomali threat intelligence platform to address the public and private sectors’ most pressing security challenges. As a result, Anomali continues to see rapid customer growth. In just over four years, Colby has helped the company earn the trust of Global 2000 businesses in every industry, including nearly 30 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, four of the top five US banks and the Bank of England. He also spearheaded the creation of the first threat intelligence sharing group for banks in the United Arab Emirates – the UAE Banks Federation Information Sharing and Analysis Center (UBF-ISAC).
Colby was a key contributor to the creation of the HITRUST Cyber Threat XChange (CTX), a community of security professionals from more than 2,000 medical organizations that actively share threat information. He also coauthored the book “Physical and Logical Security Convergence: Powered By Enterprise Security Management.” He is frequently quoted in the media as a threat intelligence subject matter expert, most recently in The Chicago Tribune and GovTech.
In addition to Colby’s significant role in driving company momentum at Anomali, he actively contributes to the broader cybersecurity community, speaking at a number of major industry conferences including Black Hat, FS-ISAC and RSA Conference, where he most recently spoke about “Unburdening Threat Hunters by Operationalizing Threat Intelligence Data.” He is also a founding member of OASIS Cyber Threat Intelligence committee, the STIX/TAXII board created by Soltra, FS-ISAC and DTCC.
