Overview
Conversant Group has always had dedicated, loyal customers who know the unique value we deliver. But something happened over the past year: Suddenly, the security world was taking note. We became the partner of choice for integrated risk mitigation solutions and ransomware restoration, working with the top Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) providers, cyber insurance carriers, and breach coaches. In 2023, we gained valuable investment from a highly respected firm (Eos Venture Partners). We’ve shown impressive revenue growth across our offerings—those companies we restore from breaches come back to us for full assessment and betterment services; those that see our comprehensive assessment results trust us for 24/7/365 managed protection. We’ve even seen some of the most notorious threat actor groups talking about our Fenix24 battalion by name in their Dark Web communications, assuming it is likely us working the most notable breach cases in North America. Our solutions are informed by real-time threat actor playbooks, and they are integrated to offer customers a complete defense, from risk assessment to ongoing management to breach restoration.
Because we understand customers need different services at different times, we advanced our strategy to divide into specialized “battalions” (or sister companies) in 2023 to ensure customer needs were met with an integrated offering and the most specialized experts available. We then supported the expanded organization with additional, highly experienced industry leaders, and coupled with a world-class marketing and sales effort, we attracted heavy-hitting partners, including CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks Unit 42, Mandiant, Guidepoint, Kivu Consulting, eSentire, Stroz Friedberg, At Bay Insurance, and others. In 2023 to date, Conversant Group saw an increase in customers of 73% and a growth of revenue of 96% (with average customer size moving up to larger enterprises).
Key Capabilities / Features
Our services are informed by the actual tactics threat actors are using as they evolve daily. Our restoration practice is on the front lines of breach remediation; this intelligence is applied to our security assessments, remediation, and managed services in real-time, so customer defenses are relevant to the threats their company may actually face. Each service is integrated with and complements the others, so customers can move seamlessly, choosing the services that meet their needs and gaps as they evolve over time. We don't rely on frameworks or statutes to secure our customers, but rather, look at security in the same way a threat actor would, ensuring that organizational defenses are evolving continuously and are relevant to threats as they change.
How we are different
• Demand for Conversant Group and its battalions grew significantly in 2023: we have been called on to restore many of the most high-profile breaches in North America, gained very large enterprise customers, earned a top-named investor and trusted partnerships with leading security brands like CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Mandiant, Kivu, and Stroz Friedberg.
• The company and its battalions have grown significantly to keep up with demand: in 2023, Conversant Group revenue grew 96% YoY; Fenix battalion revenue grew 332%, customers grew 73%, and the team grew 88%. Leadership strength and global office presence have expanded to support the vigorous growth.
• Conversant Group’s brand visibility has accelerated: the company has been featured in Bloomberg, The Register, Dark Reading, SC Magazine, Security, Dice, CSO, and many others. Its leaders have been asked to speak nationally and globally, and security leaders, breach coaches, and cyber insurers ask for us specifically when they want the job done right (even threat actors have come to respect us).
