Overview
The company addresses the need for CISOs and their teams to securely and confidently migrate their critical workloads to the public cloud, as well as ensuring the security of the cloud itself, be it IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, or FaaS.
In a recent survey from ESG, enterprises moving to the hybrid cloud (81% of those have a multi-cloud strategy) don’t have the visibility required to effectively manage risk. And the hybrid world won’t go away any time soon. In 2025, almost 40% of the workloads will still be on-premise. CISOs and their teams therefore require a security solution that spans the hybrid cloud, offers both cloud account and workload security, and is easy to deploy and operate.
Cavirin offers a solution that focuses on ease of use and offers a consistent view across the hybrid infrastructure, with a goal of closing the hybrid cloud security gap. Leveraging Cavirin, IT will have the confidence to move their critical production workloads to the cloud, with the knowledge that they have the required visibility and control. Specific challenges addressed include the CISO, CIO, or SecOps who must secure their hybrid infrastructure, VP of Engineering and DevOps who must maintain agility while securing their environment, and the Chief Compliance or Risk Officer who must have visibility into the real-time risk exposure of their infrastructure.
Cavirin’s CyberPosture Intelligence solution is the first hybrid cloud security product that offers the CISO and others a comprehensive view of their hybrid infrastructure security posture. The virtual appliance may be deployed within an enterprise’s traditional center, a CoLo, or within the public cloud. Effective operation within the cloud is through Cavirin partnerships with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
How we are different
Cavirin delivers unmatched flexibility that spans the hybrid cloud, scales via micro-services, and interoperates via an API-first architecture. This enables an ‘inside-out’ view of the customer’s infrastructure for assessment and remediation.
Some of our competitors began as on-premise vulnerability scanners. They are adding monitoring capabilities and cloud options, but this involves multiple product lines and workflows. The second group, Dome9, Palo Alto Networks, and CloudPassage, begin with cloud security but do not look at actual workloads. An organization must deploy multiple solutions to achieve the visibility and control required.
Unlike most of our competitors, our solution scales to the largest enterprise deployments. Differentiators include: curated policy library and customization, open API-first architecture for 3rd party integration, minimal learning curve and chance of error, best-in-class time to installation and first assessment, DevOps automation.
