Overview
Cydome is the leading cybersecurity solution for the maritime industry, and provides a fast health-check and audit for vulnerabilities within the specialised and remote nature of the maritime environment. The solution delivers a complete, real-time map of all assets in a client’s network, and provides the crew with an autonomic monitoring and alerting system even if the vessel is in the middle of the ocean with an unstable/ low-bandwidth communication. The monitoring and alerting will work and even if all communication systems are lost.
The centralised fleet management solution provides deeper visibility onboard the vessels, including full scope asset mapping and vulnerability scanning. This allows ship owners to clearly identify cyber threats in real time along with providing a recommendation for remediation, leading to a reduction in cyber and operational risks.
Cydome’s solution has been used around the globe for over 18 months onboard its clients’ fleets delivering key insights and protection for vessels, and also providing recommendations on how they can enhance their cybersecurity.
How we are different
• Ship-wide protection - This is particularly important, as coverage of part of a vessel or its systems will not fully protect the ship if the attacker can penetrate from another vector. Unlike other operators who can only secure parts of a vessel, Cydome provides protection of the whole ship - none of the solutions provided today by the communications and satellite providers can offer such full-spectrum coverage.
• Cydome invests a large amount of its profits into research and development to ensure its solutions are always up to date and preventing attacks. They recently partnered with Constanta maritime university, to solidify their commitment and to act as a joint hub for all maritime participants to contribute to the cyberthreats database.
