NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS
AI-Powered Digital Piracy Discovery Platform
This project focuses on building an AI-driven crawler platform designed to detect pirated movie and OTT content across digital platforms. The objective is to provide studios, OTT platforms, and content rights holders with a scalable system that can automatically discover unauthorized copies of their content across the internet, generate evidence, and enable rapid enforcement actions. As digital piracy continues to expand across streaming sites, social media, messaging platforms, and IPTV services, manual monitoring methods are no longer effective. This project aims to address that challenge through automation, AI-based content recognition, and continuous web monitoring.
The platform will begin by ingesting authorized content from rights holders, including master video files, trailers, and metadata. These assets will be processed through a content fingerprinting engine that generates unique signatures based on visual frames, audio patterns, and scene characteristics. These fingerprints allow the system to recognize content even if the video has been compressed, cropped, re-encoded, or partially edited. In parallel, the platform may support forensic watermark extraction capabilities that help identify the source of leaks if a pirated copy originates from a specific subscriber session, distributor, or screening.
The discovery component of the system will consist of a distributed AI crawler network designed to continuously scan multiple digital ecosystems.
