Overview

F-Secure Cloud Protection for Salesforce (CPSF) is the first Salesforce ISV solution to implement real-time file scanning on upload and download, with click-time URL protection. Unlike CASB and other solutions which claim near real-time scanning, F-Secure provides unparalleled protection against modern threats and blocks harmful and disallowed content before it is accessed by end users. It is the only solution on Salesforce’s AppExchange to do this; other products only scan files when they’re uploaded, meaning downloaded threats can go undetected if the content is changed after upload.

The solution is built in close cooperation with Salesforce to make sure security does not impact performance and user experience. It is the only offering from a security vendor and is a ‘zero touch’ 100% cloud-to-cloud integration with no software installations for the customer, with all scanning capabilities in the cloud rather than on-premise or on an end-user’s computer. Installation takes less than five minutes and does not require other software to be installed, nor changes to be made on network and endpoint devices.
CPSF uses F-Secure Security Cloud, a multi-layered security platform providing content reputation, threat analysis and sandbox detonation services. Customers with strict data residency requirements can restrict files sent to the Security Cloud and process files in data centers local to where their Salesforce instance is running.
