Overview

Earlier this year, Fireglass emerged out of stealth mode and closed a $20 million Series A round of funding. The team has been working to expand research and development efforts in addition to building out its sales, marketing and support teams in North America and Europe. Its pioneering isolation solution uses an innovative approach to seamlessly block threats from ever reaching the corporate network. Instead of trying to detect or remediate threats post mortem like most security vendors do, Fireglass treats all content as malicious and executes all code and content in a remote execution environment. While isolation is not a new concept, all past approaches to isolation were all too expensive, provided a bad user experience or required endpoint deployment and strong CPUs which made their approach too irrelevant for mid to large size enterprises. Fireglass is seeing tremendous traction and has deployments at several F100 companies in the US.

Fireglass deserves recognition because our threat isolation technology changes the paradigm to threat prevention and efficiently blocks cyber-attacks in a market that is being breached daily and desperately needs an effective security solution. Fireglass is the only company to develop isolation technology that does not require any endpoint installation, does not impact user experience, can scale infinitely to meet the needs of the largest enterprises and is also inexpensive. Fireglass executives’ military intelligence background provides the company with unique insight into the world of cybersecurity that allows the company to develop defense-grade, enterprise ready threat prevention solutions.

The company has also experienced a series of growth initiatives throughout the year. For example, the company received series A funding, introduced a channel partner program, and successfully integrated with Check Point Software.

How we are different

• Fireglass blocks all malware from reaching the corporate network through isolation and does not replay detection methodology. As such, Fireglass does not generate any false positive and minimizes true positives, which significantly reduces the overwhelming operational overhead security teams are faced with today due to the proliferation of security solutions. Fireglass, also positions the security organization as an enables as it empowers the business and improves employees productivity by minimizing security policies and restrictions.
