Fireglass isolation technology executes and renders all web sessions remotely and only a 100%-safe visual stream is delivered to users’ browsers. By creating an “air-gap” between users and the web and preventing any code or content from ever reaching users’ browsers, Fireglass eliminates the entire web attack vector.
Unlike traditional security solutions (e.g. Firewalls, Web Gateways, Sandboxes), which need to detect threats in order to blocks them, the Fireglass Threat Isolation Platform takes a more conservative approach and assumes all content is malicious. Delivered as a managed cloud service or on-premise, Fireglass provides a seamless user experience and does not require any endpoint installation, which makes it ideal for large scale deployments.
Fireglass Email Isolation eliminates the risk of phishing often delivered in emails. Fireglass isolates from phishing sites and blocks users from submitting corporate passwords to non-corporate websites as well as prevents employees from typing credentials and sharing sensitive information such as credit cards numbers and SSN in phishing websites or sites not white-listed. Email attachments can be viewed remotely through Fireglass which eliminates malicious active content (e.g. macros, scripts) delivered via weaponized documents from infecting users.
