Overview
The Fortinet Security Awareness and Training service helps organizations improve their security posture when it comes to the risks posed by cyberattacks. Aligned with NIST 800-50 and NIST 800-16 guidelines, it was developed by the Fortinet Training Institute, which provides certification and training in the growing field of cybersecurity. This SaaS-based platform delivers up-to-date training on contemporary cyber threats.
What sets this SaaS-based platform apart is that its content is driven in part by FortiGuard Labs’ cutting-edge research. FortiGuard identifies the most common mistakes made by users, ensuring our training addresses real-world risks and the latest cyber threats. As a leading cybersecurity vendor, Fortinet leverages its deep expertise and threat intelligence to create content that gives organizations a distinct advantage over competitors, making our training both relevant and impactful.
Enterprise Edition:
Fortinet is committed to making the service free (standard licensing) to any organization with 25 or fewer employees, across both the public and private sectors. These smaller organizations, which are often challenged by a lack of dedicated IT staff and security expertise, will benefit from the new service and its comprehensive, easy-to-use design.
Education Edition: Free Security Awareness Education
As part of Fortinet’s commitment to train 1 million people by 2026, the Training Institute has created an education-focused version of this service and has made it available for free to primary and secondary schools. This version comprises:
• Security Awareness Curriculum for the Classroom: developed by teachers, for teachers
• Security Awareness and Training for Educational Staff: online, modular training and awareness
• Administrative Platform: An intuitive dashboard for managing and reporting
The Education Edition is available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Brazil. It was initially launched through the White House National Cyber Workforce and Education Summit. Fortinet will expand globally as language options become available.
