Overview
K2 Cyber Security offers a revolutionary approach to Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP) of applications and the detection of zero day attacks. By focusing on the application itself, and not relying on prior attacks/behavior, K2 is the first in the industry to truly identify new zero day attacks and associated vulnerabilities, while at the same time offering protection for the application.
K2’s Security Platform is based on a unique, patent-pending technology called Optimized Control Flow Integrity (OCFI). Rather than rely on more traditional technologies like signatures, heuristics, or ML/AI, which base their detection on the understanding of prior attacks, OCFI uses a deterministic approach to security. OCFI’s innovative design uniquely maps the DNA of each application at runtime. By fundamentally understanding the intention of the underlying code, K2’s Security Platform verifies that the code execution and API calls are functioning in the way the code was written and intended. Zero day exploits or other attacks are immediately identified as any deviation to the code’s correct execution.
K2 protects web applications running in production from zero day, OWASP Top 10, and memory- based attacks, while providing virtual patching and protection for existing vulnerabilities in the application. K2’s OCFI technology has 8 patents granted/pending.
How we are different
o K2’s Security Platform offers a RASP solution with unique, deterministic approach offers industry’s first true detection of zero day attacks, with no need for prior attack knowledge, using patent-pending OCFI technology
o Detailed attack telemetry, including targeted filename and line of code, pinpoints exact vulnerability location for quicker remediation
o Lightweight, non-intrusive approach to security that validates code execution
