According to McAfee research, the pandemic has forced enterprises to accelerate their cloud transformation projects to empower their remote workforces, resulting in a 50 percent increase in enterprise cloud use since the start of the year. This has exposed significant security challenges, as threats targeting cloud services increased by 630 percent due to untrusted cloud services and use of BYOD devices.
Organizations need to enable their employees to be productive, but their existing IT architecture is strained with new cloud uptick usage putting their security posture at risk.
