NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS
As the power, frequency, and sophistication of DDoS attacks increase, internet service providers (ISPs), cloud providers, and enterprises face a common problem: DDoS attacks are a major risk to service availability. In response, data center operators and network providers need a defense that is effective, cost-efficient, and easy to manage.
Enter NETSCOUT’s Arbor Threat Mitigation System (TMS) – the acknowledged leader in DDoS protection, relied upon by more service providers, cloud providers, and large enterprises than any other solution on the market. Its most prominent features include, but are not limited to, the following:
Surgical Mitigation – Sophisticated DDoS countermeasures automatically remove malicious traffic without disrupting legitimate users or services.
Adaptive DDoS Protection – Combines threat intelligence and machine learning to accelerate attack detection and response, and to reduce operational overhead. Additionally, it proactively and precisely identifies a broader range of attacks, and dynamically tracks and mitigates the DDoS attacks as they evolve.
Full Portfolio of Mitigation Platforms and Capacities – Offering a range of appliance, virtual and deployment options, centralized management with NETSCOUT® Arbor Sightline provides DDoS defense that can scale mitigation capacity to an unprecedented 40Tbps.
Managed Services Enabler – Meet dynamic demands for DDoS protection services. NETSCOUT’s Arbor TMS can deliver profitable in-cloud, DDoS protection services for customers.
TMS was recently put to the test as it defended against a powerful class of new “TurboMirai” botnets – including “Aisuru” – in the second half of 2025. These botnets are capable of high-volume, direct-path attacks exceeding 20 Tbps and/or 4 Gpps, challenging even the most robust defenses.
In response, NETSCOUT has updated TMS to provide deeper botnet visibility, smarter detection, better integration with global DDoS threat intelligence, and more automated, context-aware mitigation to block carpet-bombing attacks commonly seen with TurboMirai attacks. These innovations help organizations stay ahead with features that provide a full-lifecycle defense to protect against inbound, dynamically changing multi-vector attacks. While also managing the risk posed by compromised subscriber devices executing cross-bound attacks.
Overall, NETSCOUT’s Arbor DDoS portfolio, including TMS, stands out for offering the industry’s most comprehensive range of DDoS attack protection products and services. These enable organizations of any size to customize a solution to meet their technical and financial requirements of today – and, more importantly, the future.
