Overview

The CB Predictive Security Cloud (PSC) is an endpoint protection platform that consolidates security in the cloud, making it easy to prevent, investigate, remediate and hunt for threats.

While other endpoint security products only collect a filtered dataset related to what’s “known bad,” the PSC collects all endpoint activity data, because attackers intentionally look normal in order to hide their attacks. This unfiltered data is the unique power of the PSC. By applying predictive modeling to unfiltered data to stay one step of ahead of sophisticated threats, the PSC helps organizations stop more attacks and take back control over their endpoints.

Another key benefit to the efficacy of the platform is the PSC’s unmatched visibility. The PSC accelerates threat and intrusion investigations, and gives a comprehensive picture of endpoint activity, empowering organizations to respond at the immense speed necessary to prevent damage in today’s rapidly moving threat landscape.

Additionally, while most endpoint security programs require multiple siloed systems hat burden end users and complicate management, the PSC consolidates multiple capabilities in the cloud using a single endpoint agent, console and dataset. This simplicity helps to eliminate one of the most common causes of security failures: mismanagement and human error due to overly complicated interfaces.

William Bocash, IT manager of Stonewall Kitchen, explained how the PSC was able to help fulfill internal goals of streamlining security: “One of our goals was to consolidate our security products. What Carbon Black was able to do was bring multiple systems into one. The fact that it’s keeping up with the latest threats out there really made it a differentiator from the other solutions we looked at.”

How we are different

Unfiltered Data – Having access to unfiltered endpoint data sets puts the customer in control. It allows them to see brand new attack tactics, techniques, and procedures that no one else in the world may have ever seen before.

Network Effect – In this predictive world, we could leverage the cloud and big data analytics to ensure that an attack against any one of us would make every one of us stronger. This means that attacking any single Carbon Black customer becomes exponentially more difficult, as the entire network works as one.

Extensible Open Architecture – The PSC integrates seamlessly with leading security products, ensuring that it is a useful solution rather than a complicating element. Through its easy integration and simplicity of use, the PSC eliminates human error in the form of poor solution management, which is one of the most attributable causes of a suboptimal security posture.
