Proofpoint Archive is a part of the Proofpoint Intelligent Compliance platform, which also includes Proofpoint Automate, Capture, Discover, Patrol, Supervision and Track. For archiving specifically, Proofpoint differentiates itself in five key areas:

Proofpoint continues to invest in R&D to innovate on an intelligent compliance solution to help serve the current and future needs of its customers, delivering intelligence through innovations in automation, visualization and detection. For example Proofpoint Automate customers supervising digital communications use machine learning and automation to significantly reduce false positives, helping improve risk mitigation and reduce human error and fatigue.

2.Extensibility
Evolving regulatory mandates for compliance are not limited to searching, discovering and supervising solely email. Fortunately, Proofpoint supports capturing, managing, retaining, supervising and discovering content from an extensive set of data sources, including email, social media, collaboration platforms and text. Support for open APIs and frameworks enable integration with leading technology partners for data capture, downstream e-discovery and other applications.

3.Performance
Proofpoint offers a financially backed SLA for (1) archive search performance that sees results returned in seconds on average, regardless of size of archive, and (2) archiving hosted service availability. Standards like these are often unattainable by legacy, on-premises solutions.

4.User Experience
Our customers often cite “ease of use” heavily influenced their decision to go with Proofpoint, and central to this point is how different sets of users easily work with the archive. Access to specific functionality is easily provisioned from end user to legal user to compliance user to admin in a single pane of glass.
