Redscan’s penetration testing service is conducted by an experienced team of cyber security consultants. Unlike vulnerability scanning assessments, which rely on off-the-shelf tools to identify known vulnerabilities, our penetration testing engagements are focused on identifying complex exposures that scanning tools aren’t able to identify. This includes cross-site scripting and code injection vulnerabilities, as well as authentication, encryption and deep misconfiguration issues.

Our penetration testing service is also focused on establishing the extent to which hackers with malicious intent could gain unauthorised access to critical systems and data. By providing context around ease of exploitation, penetration testing offers greater insight into the true risks posed by vulnerabilities and helps better address any vulnerabilities identified. Indeed, a key aim of the service is ensuring that clients understand the true severity of risks identified and receive actionable guidance to remediate them.
