Overview

SecureKey Concierge is a cloud-based federated identity and authentication service that enables consumers to use the trusted, secure credentials they already have (e.g. their bank log-in), to access other critical online services and applications (e.g. healthcare, government, banking, etc.). With SecureKey Concierge, consumers can use a single, trusted credential to log-in to the services they use most—eliminating the need to create multiple, hard-to-remember usernames and passwords. Once consumers sign in to SecureKey Concierge through their trusted log-in partner, they are returned to the online service. Their personal information (including their PIN, name, address, date of birth, etc.) stays safely with their log-in partner; none of their personal information is ever provided to the online sites during this process. Customers in health care, government, financial services, university, and other markets are increasingly the targets of malicious attacks. Relying on a federation network model, SecureKey Concierge provides organizations with a lower cost, higher security, private, and convenient service that they can use to assure their customers’ data is both safe and easily accessible when needed.

How we are different

o SecureKey Concierge is internationally respected for its overwhelmingly successful deployment within the Canadian marketplace, where it has been operating since 2012. It currently is used by the Government of Canada’s 26 Agencies and more than 80 online application services to substantially reduce the risks associated with static log-ins and also to reduce authentication service infrastructure spending. Many consumers use their online banking credentials regularly, and being able to apply those same credentials when accessing online government services means fewer user IDs and passwords to remember. By offering citizens the choice of using existing banking credentials, the Government of Canada is leveraging investments made by financial institutions (e.g. TD Bank, ScotiaBank, RBC, etc.) in secure online environments—demonstrating how government and industry can successfully work together to simplify the lives of everyday citizens. SecureKey Concierge in 2015 launched to the broader North American marketplace, and is currently in trials with major banks and organizations such as US Bank.

o The business advantages for investing in SecureKey Concierge include:
i) Lower cost for authentication and identity services;
ii) Lower risk of data loss/exposure;
iii) Lower risk of reputational damage coinciding with major breach events—with SecureKey Concierge, user credentials and authentication processing are outsourced
iv) Greater resiliency against hacking attempts- SecureKey Concierge’s 3rd party authentication model separates the mapping of user access via credential authentication within the SecureKey Concierge service.
v) SecureKey Concierge also provides critical privacy guards for all transactions.

o Designed for service scaling to hundreds of millions of users within a national infrastructure (think a Visa network for identity), SecureKey Concierge is the first of its kind in North America, and the first such system to reach commercial/production volume around the globe, doubling its user credentials in each of the past two years.
