Overview
At SecureSet, our mission is to transform and secure the world by educating a new generation of cybersecurity professionals. In order to fulfill this lofty mission, we partner with educational institutions, industry leaders and employers to ensure that our curriculum prepares graduates for the workforce. We are committed to strengthening the security community in each of our markets through community and professional networking events as well as partnering with local and national industry groups to gain perspective, build stronger connections and promote diversity.
SecureSet provides the most complete, immersive and compressed cybersecurity education programs in the country. Our program balance of theory and hands-on lab work prepares our students to jump right into the frontlines of the crisis at hand. In less than four years, SecureSet has grown from one campus and headquarters in Denver, CO to four campuses across the United States: Denver, Colorado Springs, Tampa, and Washington, D.C. To date, SecureSet boasts 250 alumni and a 90% placement rate into 97 different security organizations to help fill the void of cybersecurity talent.
SecureSet has also created industry-first articulation agreements into certain four-year universities to enable students to apply a portion of their education to university-level credits toward their higher education. In addition, they have established the SecureSet Foundation, a national non-profit organization that will serve to promote increased diversity in the cybersecurity profession through financial assistance to individuals.
How we are different
Commitment to industry and employer input by creating proprietary curriculum in partnership with employers through the mapping of competencies for entry-level positions:
Once these competencies are mapped, we develop content to ensure exposure to the knowledge-domains required for those specific entry-level roles
We also create proprietary labs that require the students to demonstrate their skills in adherence to that knowledge. Students are able to obtain and refine skills commensurate with the roles they will be working in upon graduation.
Articulation agreements:
We understand that it’s important for individuals to obtain higher levels of education on their pathway to success in their career. As a result, we want SecureSet to be an accelerator not a detour when it comes to higher levels of educational attainment. Through articulation we are able to achieve these goals for our students. Our programs provide up to one year of university credit in a three-five month timeframe.
SecureSet Foundation 501(c)(3):
We recognize that certain populations have more challenges entering a highly-specialized and technical field, as a result, we’ve created a foundation to equal the playing field.
This applies to all racial, socioeconomic, gender, and veteran populations
