Overview

Digital Shadows’ ShadowTalk discusses the latest threat intelligence and cyber security news with our panel of digital risk experts. It is released every Friday and dives into a hot cyber security topic from that week, providing a range of unique analysis from threat intelligence analysts, security engineers and CISOs. The podcast is also a source for primary research and breaking news, including the joint Digital Shadows and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) investigation into 81,000 Facebook user accounts for sale that drew international media attention.

How we are different

1. Rather than simply regurgitating and summarizing the latest news stories, ShadowTalk’s team of experts provide their own unique analysis of events. With an international roster of speakers from a variety of backgrounds (including threat intelligence analysts, security engineers and CISOs), listeners from all sides of the cyber security spectrum can take something away from the podcast.
2. As well as covering significant cyber security stories from across the world, the podcast focuses on the latest primary research from Digital Shadows covered in the mainstream media. This includes Digital Shadows’ joint investigation with the BBC into 81,000 Facebook user accounts for sale; its research with Onapsis into threats to business-critical applications published by the US-CERT, and the discovery of 1.5 billion files exposed through misconfigured file sharing services.
3. Digital Shadows’ reputation within the security practitioner community means it can call upon established and knowledgeable guest speakers for special episodes. Guests have included Katie Nickels from the MITRE Corporation and Onapsis, specialists in securing SAP and Oracle ERP and business-critical applications.
