Overview
With over 24,000 customers, Tenable has established itself as a trusted brand in security. Tenable’s customers include more than 50 percent of the Fortune 500 and more than 25 percent of the Global 2000.
Tenable’s product families, including Nessus, Tenable.io and Tenable.sc, are each award-winning solutions sporting five-star reviews from leading security industry publications. In 2018, Tenable also completed the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) STAR self-assessment – the industry’s most powerful program for security assurance in the cloud. Tenable was similarly the first Center for Internet Security (CIS) member to receive certification for the Amazon AWS Foundations benchmark. Tenable continued its leadership in orchestrating compliance for Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments by becoming the first and only vendor to obtain CIS certification for the AWS Three-tier Web Architecture benchmark.
Tenable’s expert team of cybersecurity researchers and data scientists also carry an impressive industry track record. In April 2018, Tenable Research announced a vulnerability in Schneider Electric applications used in manufacturing, oil and gas, water, automation and wind and solar power facilities. More recently, Tenable Research discovered a critical vulnerability – dubbed ‘Peekaboo’ – in video surveillance technology that would allow attackers to remotely view video surveillance feeds and tamper with recordings using administrator privileges. Tenable Research also releases regular industry reports, including the recent Attacker’s Advantage, Cyber Defender and Vulnerability Intelligence reports.
This cumulative success has allowed Tenable to maintain a rapid pace of innovation and expansion. The company recently broke ground on new headquarters in Maryland, opened international headquarters in Ireland, and expanded its operations in Japan and Mexico.
How we are different
In 1998, Tenable established the de-facto industry standard with its original Nessus solution. Nessus has been rated first in accuracy and first in coverage, and is recognized by Cybersecurity Insiders as the most widely used vulnerability assessment solution, with nearly twice as many users than any other competitive offering.
Building on its patented Nessus technology, Tenable has expanded its product offerings to extend beyond the industry norm and support a wide variety of customer operations. From container security to industrial security, Tenable identifies vulnerabilities across modern and traditional asset types, while simultaneously eliminating infrastructure and application management for security teams. This, in turn, reduces personnel and labor requirements, providing a crucial advantage for customers in a market with an extreme shortage of IT professionals. Once available, Tenable.io Lumin will further boost efficiency and security by quantifying business risk for security teams. Lumin’s benchmarking capabilities will provide CISOs with crucial intelligence to deploy essential resources where they are most needed.
In addition to multiple award-winning solutions, Tenable has taken strides to strengthen its services by developing a market-leading technology partner ecosystem that is supported by a dedicated integrations team. From ingesting third-party data to enriching third-party systems, Tenable’s ecosystem connects disparate solutions and data to accelerate businesses’ ability to understand, manage and reduce cyber risk. Tenable makes it easy to build integrated solutions that solve complete customer problems and continually updates the integrations to enhance functionality. The ecosystem includes industry leaders such as ServiceNow, Splunk and Amazon AWS. Tenable’s recent recognition as a Growth Excellence leader by Frost & Sullivan only serves to emphasize Tenable’s continued market leadership and the differentiated breadth of its security strategy. No other company provides the same cohesive, comprehensive approach toward managing and quantifying cyber risk.
