NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS
For making a Social Engineering Fraud you must ‘Digitally Touch’ to the victim.
As Turkcell, we think that Telco’s can prevent social engineering frauds because they have all communication data by nature.
Even if users have shared their credentials, Telco’s can prevent them from losing money.
As Turkcell we know that, social engineering can be prevented by using the data that customer’s touch before. We are determining risk score via using the CDR , Location data and URL browsing info regarding the regulation. According to the analyse, we can share risk data with the financial institutions with appropriate detail.
How we are different
1- There is no market for this solution. We are creating a new market for Telco's.
2- We find the customers who interact with fraudsters(scam calls and phishing URLs, stolen bank cards ) and we warn the financial institutions for protecting the customers from the potential loses.
3- In our solution there is cross sector data sharing with financial institutions. Because as we are GSM operator, we can calculate risk score of our customers and can share with financial institutions so they can take appropriate actions according to this data.
