Overview
White Ops is a cybersecurity company that protects enterprises across the globe – including the largest internet platforms – from sophisticated bots by verifying the humanity of more than one trillion online interactions every week. Sophisticated bots look and act like humans when they visit websites, click on ads, fill out forms, take over accounts, and commit payment fraud. White Ops stops them.
The White Ops Fraud Mitigation Platform consists of a three-pronged approach to bot mitigation: detect, prevent and analyze. For detection, the platform uses a multilayered approach that results in unprecedented accuracy compared to traditional solutions that rely on blacklists and behavior analysis. This process includes gathering technical evidence of a compromise, machine learning to predict malicious behavior across trillions of transactions, global threat intelligence analysis, and continuous adaptation of identification techniques which makes it extremely difficult for adversaries to evade detection.
To gather technical evidence for detection, the platform’s privacy-sensitive approach collects data from the network, software, device, application and user configuration to detect technical evidence of compromise. The platform’s knowledge base of seven+ years of data allows it to reference a large set, continually improving and building new markers, as well as work with partners and law enforcement to bolster investigations and research. The platform then uses machine learning to detect and predict malicious behavior, granting it a high level of accuracy, even when there is insufficient technical evidence. The platform currently protects 85% of the programmatic ecosystem alone.
How we are different
Multilayered Detection Methodology: White Ops’ Fraud Mitigation Platform uses a multilayered detection approach that results in unprecedented accuracy compared to traditional solutions that rely on blacklists and behavior analysis. This approach includes gathering technical evidence of compromise, machine learning to predict malicious behavior across trillions of transactions, global threat intelligence analysis, and continuous adaptation of identification techniques which makes it extremely difficult for adversaries to evade detection.
Global Visibility and Scale: White Ops serves more than 200 customers around the globe, including some of the largest Internet platforms. As a result, the platform’s bot detection sensors provide visibility into a very large portion of the Internet to more accurately detect bot behavior. Today, the platform verifies the humanity of more than 10 trillion interactions a week in 10 milliseconds or less. The platform currently protects 85% of the programmatic ecosystem alone. No other company on the planet has this level of threat detection scale and accuracy.
Real-time Prevention and Reduction of Fraud: White Ops has worked with other leading internet companies and law enforcement to takedown operations such Methbot and 3ve, using the Fraud Mitigation Platform, to bring real consequences to botnet operators around the globe.
White Ops Satori Threat Intelligence & Research: This team is the backbone of our groundbreaking research. They are responsible for notable investigations such as ICEBUCKET, the largest CTV ad fraud operation to date, and TERRACOTTA, one of the most sophisticated mobile operations that infected nearly 65,000 devices. Their goal is to educate the larger cybersecurity, marketing, and advertising communities about malicious operations targeting enterprises and consumers alike. The Satori team is integral to the work we do for all of our customers.
