Overview

John Peterson is a well known and respected cybersecurity startup veteran and inventor of multiple influential products in our industry. After starting his career at US Robotics with PRE Security co-founder Paul Jespersen in the early 90’s, followed by Cisco Systems, John, also known as JP, has been a major contributor as a technical, sales engineering, and product leader for many companies in very early stages including Netscreen, Fortinet, and Barracuda, as well as Zscaler, and Comodo all prior to and through IPO’s and exits. He was founding CPO at Stellar Cyber where he was the primary inventor of the Stellar (Aella Data) Open XDR product as well as at Ericom where he was inventor of their zero trust product leading to the acquisition by Ericsson.
Now at PRE Security as co-founder, CTO, and Co-CEO with Jespersen, he is also the inventor of the world’s first AI Native Predictive SecOps Platform, that brings innovative generative, predictive, and agentic AI powered solutions to ongoing SecOps pain points and challenges, including multiple new patents pending as well, including Log2NLP, which enables conversion of cybersecurity logs to natural language (and back) and enables key features like Parserless™ ingestion and universal data collection, as well as next event predictions, and more.
