Overview

Ransomware has reached epidemic proportions, meaning that companies need more protection for their critical systems, applications and data than ever before. In Arcserve’s survey of 356 channel partners across EMEA in July 2019, 65% of respondents placed high importance on solutions that combine data security and protection – even more important than solutions that incorporate AI to predict disasters or those that automate compliance. We saw a market gap and we filled it with the new Arcserve Appliance Series, which now seamlessly integrates with Sophos Intercept X Advanced for Server. This is the first and only disaster recovery and backup appliance on the market secured by an industry-leading anti-malware solution, providing prevention of ransomware and protection from data loss.
This industry-first combination of technologies provides organizations with a two-pronged approach to cyber protection and IT resilience, delivering a comprehensive, protect-in-depth approach to accelerate data, system and application resiliency, and offer businesses an end-to-end solution to combat ransomware. This solution eliminates standalone products with a multi-layered platform that integrates onsite and offsite disaster recovery; backup and high availability with signature-based and signatureless malware detection; a deep learning neural network; anti-exploit technology; and CryptoGuard anti-ransomware and WipeGuard technologies, which prevent cybercriminals’ attempts to attack data backups and master boot records are thwarted.
Powered by Arcserve UDP, the Appliance Series combines flash-accelerated deduplicated storage, robust server processing and high-speed networking with highly redundant hardware and cloud services. The series offers 11 options for configuration, ranging from 12TB to 504TB of effective capacity per appliance. With a wizard-driven setup, the integrated appliance is proven to be deployable in under 15 minutes, meaning that IT professionals can dedicate more time to strategic IT initiatives, while also knowing data backups will remain safe and resilient to loss.

How we are different

• The Arcserve Appliance Series with Sophos Intercept X Advanced for Server is the only all-in-one solution currently available that integrates threat prevention technologies with disaster recovery and high availability capabilities for prevention against ransomware and data loss.
• Other data protection vendors that offer anti-ransomware features are often just detecting data anomalies that may be ransomware-related, and simply providing alerts. This solution takes cyber protection to the next level with the ability to detect and respond to threats, while restoring and preventing data loss as needed.
• Many data protection vendors are beginning to dabble in cybersecurity features, but don’t have the experience and expertise to best serve customers’ needs. By integrating with proven security experts, Arcserve is able to offer the most robust solution on the market to neutralize the ransomware threat.
