APU have been grooming and churning out distinct Cyber Security graduates for over a decade now into the job market of which this group sits in a ratio of 1:3 on the jobs opportunity playing field. The strong collaboration with key industry players such as Cyber Security Malaysia (CSM), IBM, CISCO, TecForte, Cyber Test System, and many more so to deliver curricula that are up to the industry’s expectations, in order to address the needs of technology graduates. Other strategic industry partners, namely Amazon web Services, Intel, JobStreet, Microsoft, Oracle Academy, RunCloud and SAS are set to provide cloud credits, training modules, certification programmes, training, mentoring and employment tools. APU’s Cybersecurity Talent Zone is a perfect example of how APU collaborates closely with industry leading organisations. This Zone features a fully-functional Security Operations Centre (SOC), a full-fledged Cyber Threats Simulation and Response Centre (also known as a Cyber Range) and CISCO Networking Academy Lab. The Cyber Range incorporates latest technologies and a military grade cyber-defense system that can simulate highly complex cyber-attacks in a hyper realistic environment, enabling students to understand and formulate defence strategies, and practice the entire chain of cyber defence, while preparing them to deal with real cyber threat attack when it happens.
