Over the past 3 years, I have led a structural evolution in how cybersecurity is positioned within a large-scale telecommunications ecosystem serving millions of citizens. Rather than operating as a defensive function, security was repositioned as a strategic growth enabler — embedded into digital expansion, fraud prevention, identity governance, and executive decision-making at board level.
I led one of the most significant identity governance transformations in Latin America, executing an enterprise-wide modernization that impacted hundreds of systems and a vast identity ecosystem across employees, contractors, and partners. Delivered in record time for an organization of this magnitude, the initiative reduced systemic exposure, strengthened regulatory posture, increased operational efficiency, and laid the foundation for scalable Zero Trust architecture in a highly regulated sector.
In parallel, I integrated fraud prevention and cybersecurity into a unified resilience strategy within a telecom environment heavily targeted by sophisticated threat actors. By aligning intelligence, prevention, and continuous monitoring, we significantly strengthened the organization’s ability to withstand high-impact attacks while preserving business continuity and public trust.
Beyond corporate execution, my impact extends to the broader cybersecurity ecosystem. As founder of CISÃO, I created a strategic community connecting Brazil’s senior security leaders to elevate governance standards, promote peer collaboration, and strengthen collective resilience across industries. This initiative has contributed to a more mature and coordinated cybersecurity posture within the national market.
