Jeannette Jarvis is Cyber Threat Alliance’s (CTA) Chief Recruitment and Marketing Officer, increasing and improving CTA’s vitally important membership, partnership, branding, and communications efforts. Present at the birth of CTA in 2014, Jeannette helped found it with cyber leaders from Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, McAfee, Symantec, Check Point, and Cisco while at McAfee before directly joining CTA in 2017.
Jeannette’s unabashed belief in the power of collaboration and distinguished business, technical strategy, product management, marketing, and global executive management expertise led CTA to become a best-in-class community of private sector cybersecurity leaders, bringing together the world’s most influential global companies to improve security vulnerabilities and policies and strengthen the broader security ecosystem.
With 25+ years of experience, Jeannette is a recognized thought leader and highly respected advisor with a deep and nuanced understanding of the needs and pressures of the private sector. Her published papers on computer threat impact and activity showcase her profound knowledge and expertise on security issues within the global corporate environment.
Jeannette previously served as Fortinet’s Director of Product Marketing, focusing on their research and threat intelligence organization, FortiGuard Labs; Director of Product Management at McAfee and the Intel Security organization, defining strategy and driving improvements for programs on malware operations, threat intelligence, and McAfee Labs initiatives; and, held leadership roles at Microsoft, Boeing, and more
Most importantly, Jeannette sees diversity as security and prioritizes inclusion initiatives. She participated in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Technology Partner Network and co-founded the McAfee Women In Security affinity group, and led the Women at Intel network. Her contributions to the cybersecurity community only continue to grow, and she was notably awarded by SC Magazine, named an IT Woman to Watch award in 2017.
