Joseph Carson, Chief Security Scientist and Advisory CISO at Thycotic has spent more than 25 years in enterprise and IT security, educating the users and leaders of scholastic institutions, governments and companies on how to keep themselves and their organizations safe from cyberattacks.
As a dedicated educator and professional, Joseph recognizes the need for constant learning, continuing his own education to expand his knowledge and sharing his experiences and lessons learned with his peers and teammates.
Carson mentors many cybersecurity professionals around the world and is a cybersecurity advisor to several governments, critical infrastructure, financial and maritime companies. Carson regularly shares his knowledge and experience giving workshops on vulnerability assessments, patch management best practices, the evolving cyber security perimeter and GDPR compliance.
Carson is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and an active member of the cybercommunity, regularly presenting at security conferences, government events, and at cybersecurity awareness days, continuously spreading his leadership experiences globally. With the current workforce shortage, properly trained and skilled cybersecurity professionals are needed now more than ever.
