Joseph Carson is a frequent contributor to the cybersecurity community as an educator, professional speaker, ethical hacker, and author. Carson has spent more than 25 years in enterprise and IT security, educating the users and leaders of scholastic institutions, governments and companies on how to keep themselves and their organizations safe from cyberattacks.
One of Carson’s top achievements is his “Cyber Security for Dummies” book. This book has gained global recognition for helping many companies bring people, processes and technology together to make the human a front-line defense in the protection against cyber-attacks. It has allowed companies to find a people-centric approach to cybersecurity and build a positive relationship between IT Security and company employees.
“Cyber Security for Dummies” has over 20,000 readers around the world, spreading awareness for data security and proactive actions an individual can take to protect themselves at work and at home.
People often struggle with cybersecurity as the amount of information provided can be overwhelming. Carson created a book that provides users with a quick and easy approach to understanding cyber security.

1. Joseph published 24 unique blogs in 2021, another prolific year following the 19 he published in 2020. Joseph’s blogs rarely cover the same topic, yet are both timely to current cyber-threats keeping CISOs up at night as well as informative for establishing effective cybersecurity strategies, best practices, and tactics.
2. In addition to his blogging, Joseph authored and published a total of 5 books on privileged access and cybersecurity with tens of thousands of readers and downloads globally. He augments his writing with a popular bi-weekly industry podcast (401 Access Denied) with ~4,500 weekly listeners
3. Joseph has been, and will continue to be, a driving force in educating the next generation of cybersecurity leaders.
