Overview
Maureen Kaplan is a committed and passionate executive-level leader with 30 years of experience resolving a wide array of business challenges. Her career spans operations, marketing, sales, and acquisitions, driving growth for technology companies ranging from start-ups to multinational industry leaders. Maureen is a thought leader and expert in intersecting corporate strategy, people leadership, and innovation to power growth and profitability. As an expert in cyber security and threat assessment, she is a co-author of the cyber protection white paper Vodafone Cyber Ready Barometer and a sought-after media event presenter.
She excels in operating amid ambiguity to deliver on ambitious goals and takes bold visions and executes tactical implementation, operationalizing teams, and engaging the customer base to gain traction for new initiatives. Maureen has been a Chief Operating Officer for a global managed security services provider, the Global Head of Cloud & Security Sales for an international telecommunications company, and is currently Chief Revenue Officer for SilverSky, an industry leading cybersecurity firm.
Maureen is also a fervent champion for women leaders and collaborated to create a Women in Technology (WIT) organization in July 2020 to create a community for women inside her company, OpenText, which like many tech companies lacked female diversity in many areas of the business. Within 18 months, WIT grew to more than 1100 employees with significant engagement across 5 continents. 750 people participated in a 5-part leadership development series, helping to map career paths for technical and non-technical people. The mentoring program grew from a few individuals to 45 pairs within 12 months. This brought together people with diverse backgrounds and cultures to drive awareness and change across the global company.
