Mike Ewell

Accomplishments

Mike Ewell is an Executive Director and the National Security Sector business unit lead for Solutions by Design and has over 14 years of extensive experience in providing cyber security, IT services and project management on a variety of federal and commercial projects. Mr. Ewell is currently managing a portfolio of cyber engagements and currently is responsible for over 100 employees. Mr. Ewell has also spent seven years at two of the Big Four improving the cyber security posture and implementing compliance programs for both private and public sector clients domestically and internationally. His experience in cyber security includes IT Security Control Assessments/Audits, Continuous Monitoring (CDM), Critical Infrastructure, Audit Mitigation and Remediation efforts, Documentation and Policy reviews and Security Operations Centers (SOC). Mr. Ewell has significant experience managing large and complex engagements, as well as managing multiple geographically dispersed engagements simultaneously. Mr. Ewell’s experience has included the writing and the review of large government agencies high profile IT security policies and procedures, including contributing to the FY13, FY14, and FY15 CIO and IG FISMA Metrics, DoD SSAE16 Reports and the annual FISMA Congressional Report. Along with Mr. Ewell’s extensive security background (CISSP), he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Six Sigma Greenbelt and an ITIL Expert. Mr. Ewell has led large internal strategic firm initiatives and is responsible for over 600% growth in the SBD Cyber Account.
