CSIOS Corporation (hereafter “CSIOS”), a Maryland based, Veteran–Owned Small Business is pleased to nominate Mr. Clinton Hackney for the Cybersecurity Strategist of the Year award. A renowned executive and strategist in the field of Cyberspace Operations, the following is a summary of Mr. Hackney’s key accomplishments during 2020:
• Mr. Hackney provided executive and strategic subject matter expert level support to 9 Federal Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSPs), Network Operation Centers (NOCs), Security Operating Centers (SOCs), and Cybersecurity Integrity Centers (CICs) responsible for provisioning 24x7x365 cybersecurity services to protect and defend U.S. information systems and networks. Mr. Hackney’s support to these organizations spanned a broad range of topics, including the development of CSSPs, NOCs, SOCs, and CICs strategies; redesign of technologies, processes, and cybersecurity services; assessments, audits, inspections; and continuous improvement and optimization.
• Mr. Hackney continued to lead the operationalization of CSIOS’ award winning and custom-tailored Continuous Improvement and Optimization (CI–O) solution at various Federal CSSPs. CSIOS leveraged its ISO® 9001:2015; ISO/IEC® 20000–1: 2011; ISO® 22301: 2012; ISO/IEC® 27001: 2013; Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® Development (maturity level 3); and CMMI® Services (maturity level 3) to develop a CI-O Management System for Federal CSSPs. CSIOS CI–O solution represents the blueprint for next generation CSSP services and helps evolve Federal CSSPs, NOCs, SOCs, and CICs into the highest performing Federal cybersecurity service providers.
• Mr. Hackney helped CSIOS devise $260M in new contract wins and attain 12 cyber awards for CSIOS’ contributions to the CSSP and Defensive Cyberspace Operations communities.
Accomplishments
• In 2020, Mr. Hackney made several meaningful and lasting contributions at 9 Federal Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSPs), Network Operation Centers (NOCs), Security Operating Centers (SOCs), and Cybersecurity Integrity Centers (CICs) provisioning 24x7x365 cybersecurity services to protect and defend U.S. information systems and networks. Mr. Hackney assisted these organizations in areas that included the development of CSSPs, NOCs, SOCs, and CICs strategies; redesign of technologies, processes, and services; assessments, audits, inspections; and continuous improvement and optimization. Mr. Hackney’s expertise supporting the Federal CSSP Program and his ability to communicate and stay focused on CSIOS’ customer mission/business goals and operational priorities contributed to the realization of more than $260M in new contract wins for CSIOS.
• Mr. Hackneys’ ability to emphasize and think like a cybersecurity provider and subscriber has allowed him to custom tailor CSIOS’ award winning Continuous Improvement and Optimization (CI–O) solution to meet the needs of various Federal CSSPs, NOCs, SOCs, and CICs, enabling these organizations to evolve into high performing Federal cybersecurity service providers.
• Mr. Hackney’s strong desire to lead, mentor his team success, and embrace views different from his own, has helped CSIOS attain 12 cyber awards in 2020 for CSIOS’ contributions to the CSSP and Defensive Cyberspace Operations communities.
