Overview
The Netskope Security Cloud Platform is a comprehensive, cloud-native SASE platform enabling secure enterprise digital transformation and secure remote connectivity using integrated Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) capabilities. Netskope’s cloud-native SASE architecture also includes NewEdge, the world’s fastest-growing and most-connected private cloud, enabling fast and secure access from any location or device to data, applications, and websites wherever they reside. It’s the largest cloud network that is 15 milliseconds from anyone in the world. Accelerated by a $300 million round of new financing in July 2021, Netskope innovations are a direct reflection of what organizations need now to be successful and improve their cloud security.
With Netskope’s SASE architecture, teams no longer need to make trade-offs between cloud security and network performance, even with a majority of enterprise businesses going remote-first and enabling access to sensitive data from just about anywhere. Netskope also enhanced Netskope Private Access, a cloud-native ZTNA service, directly and securely connecting users to specific internal resources hosted in the public cloud and/or private data centers. This enables teams to reduce risk and securely connect corporate users, along with third-party contractors, to private resources, using the Netskope client or browser access for private web applications (instead of giving access to the network).
One addition to the platform is Netskope Cloud Firewall, a firewall-as-a-service offering helping to reduce complexity, lower overall operational expenses, prevent a degraded user experience, and accelerate time-to-value for organizations transforming their security and networking to meet the demands of branch offices and a remote-first workforce. Netskope also announced industry-first and industry-best Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for security traffic processing in the cloud, ensuring customers using the Netskope Security Cloud enjoy network performance at levels of speed and reliability not available with other vendors.
How we are different
Leading the SASE marketplace: Netskope’s original company vision was to create a security platform with SASE-based architecture long before the market called the category SASE. Its vision aligns with this massively growing category, while the demand for Netskope grows globally as more organizations continue to embrace the cloud to manage their business and deliver digital experiences to their customers and employees. Netskope also launched The SASE Accreditation, a first-of-its-kind accreditation course intended to address design requirements for SASE. It has helped security professionals expand their knowledge of the security industry, improve their skills, and accelerate their journey around SASE adoption while attracting new talent.
Solving real-time security problems: The security transformation challenge is massive, but with an uptick in major data breaches, the opportunity is bigger and more urgent than ever before. It requires a new cloud-native stack that provides visibility to the far reaches of connectivity and treats data as the center of gravity for security and networking teams. Netskope is at the center of this transformation, ushering in a new model that is pervasive and enabling for the user, the application, and the business, by being solely focused on securing data in the cloud.
Offering immeasurable support for the most vulnerable of industries: A national healthcare organization needed to protect large amounts of personal health information across multiple tenants of Microsoft 365 while addressing widespread use of cloud apps, and preventing the risks of shadow IT and unauthorized web access. With Netskope innovations, they regained control of their infrastructure. Netskope delivered new granular controls and key insights necessary to protect the integrity of their data shared in the cloud - while reducing cyber risk and creating more thoughtful interactions with practitioners, customers, and prospects through the identification and remediation of biased terminology that other vendors could not provide.
