CEO and co-founder Ofer Smadari founded no-code security automation leader Torq in 2020 and since then has been instrumental in helping this still fledgling company achieve incredible momentum, all due to his extensive security background.

He is an infrastructure strategist, combining strong technical knowledge with proven experience in building sales teams and defining winning Go-To-Market strategies. Over the past 20 years, he’s held various senior operational security positions in leading financial services organizations, managed the sales and business operations at Adallom (acquired by Microsoft), and co-founded Zero Trust access company, Luminate Security, which was acquired by Symantec after 2 years.

In 2022 alone, Torq achieved 800% revenue growth and 10x customer growth, delivered on the promise of Parallel Execution, and performs over 1 million daily security automations for dozens of customers and counting, including those from the world’s largest Fortune 100 companies. A credit of his leadership, Torq also had the distinct honor of being recognized as to Forbes (Israel) list of Next Billion Dollar Startups, Cybersecurity Excellence and Global Infosec Award winner, and was one of the 10 most innovative start-up companies named to RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox.
