Throughout his successful career spanning close to 15 years, Pranith has held key positions in renowned firms such as Morgan Stanley, Cisco, PwC, and International Paper. Pranith’s area of expertise lies in developing frameworks, processes, and assessments with the aim of ensuring a healthy risk posture across departments. His experience in the field of Information Security, IT Risk Management, Cybersecurity, and Data Privacy has enabled him to design and implement robust frameworks that help organizations safeguard their assets. During his tenure at PwC and Morgan Stanley, Pranith played a vital role in designing and implementing risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks. He successfully managed to identify and mitigate various security risks, protecting the organizations’ data and systems from cyber threats. Pranith’s thought leadership and creative thinking have been demonstrated in his current role at Cisco, where he leads the Risk Management program in the Security business unit for a wide range of Cloud and network security offers.
Apart from his professional experience, Pranith has made significant contributions to the academic world. He has co-authored a paper on Adaptive Cyber risk intelligence using Big data that won a challenge sponsored by Deloitte. Pranith has also helped a PhD candidate with Data review & analysis as a Research Assistant, authored a Risk management framework during his current tenure at Cisco, and published 13 papers in the field of Information security, Risk management, and data privacy. He currently as a repository of three more papers in the submission stage. He is also a peer reviewer and part of the editorial board of several journals.

He has also been nominated for Cybersecurity Excellence and several other awards. Accomplishments
1) Pranith was able to quickly design and implement a customized risk management framework for the entire business unit with staff of more than 4000 members spread across the globe, he has designed and drafted a Risk exception workflow within a span of 3 weeks for re-certification exercises of certain products, this cleared the roadblocks for pending certifications and assessments, else would have resulted in a business impact and sales.
2)Pranith has also contributed to some efforts on the federal side of the business unit, he is responsible for creating a risk report (the first of its kind in the field of security) that has been adopted by other businesses centrally and is recognized as a Risk management leader in the organization, he is often consulted on Security initiatives that span the entire business unit.
3)Pranith has won many international awards in this space, he has published several papers in established journals, and all of his works are recognized by Senior leadership including the Global head of risk management, CISO, and other leads of various security teams within Cisco.
