Reg Harnish is an entrepreneur, speaker, author and CEO of GreyCastle Security, a leading cybersecurity risk assessment, advisory and mitigation firm headquartered in Troy, New York.
As CEO of GreyCastle, Reg is responsible for defining and executing the company’s vision. Under his leadership, the company has experienced four consecutive years of triple-digit growth and countless industry accolades. Today, GreyCastle Security is working with organizations in nearly every state in the U.S. – including Fortune 5000 and Global 100 organizations.

Reg has been practicing cybersecurity for nearly two decades. His contrarian perspectives have
established him as a highly-respected thought-“disrupter” in the industry.

Reg was recently recognized as the 2017 Cybersecurity Consultant of the Year in North America by the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.

Reg has served as a cybersecurity advisor to several educational institutions, sits on numerous cybersecurity association boards and is a fellow of the National Cybersecurity Institute, an academic and research center based in Washington, D.C.

Reg attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and an ITIL Foundations certified professional.
