- Under Rohit's leadership, the Security Compass Advisory y, (SC ADV) business was sold to Kroll in 2021. This marked the culmination of 17 years of delivering cloud security, penetration testing, red team exercises, and emerging technology services. The sale of the Advisory business represents a unique opportunity, completing the Security Compass transition to becoming a dedicated software company which began in 2020 with the separation of SC ADV under a separate brand. Rohit will lead Security Compass as a focused software company, with all departments in the company aligned under one vision and mission, and a common set of objectives.
- Rohit made it a priority to maintain strong relationships with and between team members, which was inevitably challenging to do remotely. When the pandemic hit, Rohit created a weekly video log that was sent out to the whole company as a way to connect with each individual. Rohit continues to put his team first, enabling them to come out on top with delivering world-class products and services.
- As Chief Executive Officer of Security Compass, Rohit focuses on helping organizations balance product security with time to market. He was instrumental in the development of the company’s flagship product, SD Elements, and continues to drive the company’s innovation.
Rohit Sethi joined Security Compass as the second full-time employee, and was named Chief Executive Officer in January of 2020. Almost immediately after being named CEO, the world was faced with the COVID-19 pandemic that shook all organizations. Despite these challenges, Rohit has led Security Compass through major accomplishments, winning multiple awards for both the company’s technology solutions as well as corporate culture.
Most recently, Security Compass was named one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures for 2021 by Waterstone Human Capital’s annual program. The program recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for fostering high-performance corporate cultures that help sustain a competitive advantage. This competitive advantage has also contributed to two technology awards recently earned by the company: the 2021 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award for Application Security, and inclusion for the second consecutive year on the 2021 CyberTech 100 list.
Under Rohit’s leadership, Security Compass has continued to prioritize creating a safe, diverse, equitable workplace where employees from all backgrounds feel welcome. A Belonging Committee is responsible for making suggestions, curating ideas, and leading change throughout the organization. The company promotes education by providing employees with a learning and growth budget each calendar year. The team is encouraged to use the budget to attend conferences and courses, or obtain certifications to help them get to the next level in their career.
Additionally, Rohit hosts a monthly “Open Hour” where employees can ask him anything, as well as monthly “Meet Rohit” sessions where he meets every new employee who has joined the company to set the tone that he is approachable and will always make time for employees. Employee engagement is a top line objective weighted equally with other business drivers such as revenue growth and profitability.
