Overview
Network Box’s Web Content Filtering engine, S-Scan, is designed to help organizations block users from accessing undesirable web content. With an industry-leading detection rate, it offers excellent speed, coverage, and web accuracy performance.
S-Scan uses high-performance signature-based technology rather than a simple URL database to efficiently and effectively identify web content. Thus, specific categories of new undesirable websites can be identified almost immediately in real-time without needing to update a URL database.
Key Capabilities / Features
Granular control for web browsing policies
Network Box can assist with managing an organization's web browsing policies. However, the ultimate settings are entirely under the organization's control. With S-Scan, it is also possible to:
■ Turn all web content filtering off for an entire organization
■ Only filter web content for specific user groups
■ Only filter certain subsets of categories for all or specific user groups
■ Filter certain web content during business hours and turn off the content filtering during non-business hours
Additionally, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Microsoft Active Directory (AD) support is included for authentication purposes, allowing users to be identified by login name if required.
