Overview

At SecureSet, our mission is to transform and secure the world by educating a new generation of cybersecurity professionals. To fulfill this mission, we partner with educational institutions, industry leaders, and employers to deliver a curriculum that prepares our graduates for the skills needed in the workforce. We are committed to strengthening the security community in each of our markets through community and professional networking events as well as partnering with local and national industry groups to gain perspective, build stronger connections, and promote diversity.

SecureSet provides the most complete, immersive, and compressed cybersecurity education programs in the country. Our program balance of theory and hands-on lab work prepares our students to jump right into the frontlines of the crisis at hand. In less than four years, SecureSet grew from one campus and headquarters in Denver, CO, to four campuses across the United States: Denver, Colorado Springs, Tampa, and Washington, D.C. To date, SecureSet has 475 alumni and a 90% job placement rate. Our students have been placed into 97 different security organizations to help fill the void of cybersecurity talent.

SecureSet also created industry-first articulation agreements with several four-year universities to enable students to apply a portion of their SecureSet education toward university-level credits for their higher education. In addition, they established the SecureSet Foundation, a national non-profit organization that serves to promote increased diversity in the cybersecurity workforce through financial assistance to those individuals in need.

How we are different

1. Commitment to Hands-on Learning: We create proprietary curriculum, in partnership with cybersecurity employers, through the mapping of competencies for entry-level cyber positions. Once these competencies are mapped, we develop content and hands-on labs to ensure exposure to the knowledge-domains required for those specific entry-level roles. Our students not only learn the theory, they put the theory to work in true-to-life sandbox environments. Traditional education historically does not provide this kind of job preparation. We train our students for immediate work in this tremendously important industry, where there are not enough professionals to secure the world’s networks and systems.

2. Commitment to Students and Results: We place equal importance on supporting our cybersecurity students in the job placement process as we do on educating them. Our job placement rate hovers around 90% currently, as it has for years. Those results speak for themselves.

3. Commitment to Community: We are committed to both building the cybersecurity community and creating cyber awareness for the public. A minimum of four free events are held each month on every SecureSet campus. Speaker Series, Hacking Workshops, and Capture the Flag gaming events are all available to the community at large. These events provide excellent networking and education opportunities for industry professionals and the public to interact with our students and alumni.
