Overview
Senthilkumar Chandrasekaran is a proven security product leader and a strategist focused on building products that focus on customer trust without compromising user experience, and safety. He has over 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity in security engineering and operations, advisory, and security product management. Over the years, he has worked with F500 companies, technology firms, and startups on various domains within cybersecurity and currently leading the security and authentication services for Salesforce. In his current role, he is responsible for building a strategic long-term vision and roadmap for security services and building products that align with the mission. He is also championing building products and leading the effort for Salesforce’s security product team, focusing on Identity, Security at the intersection of AI. Before joining Salesforce, he had held roles at Okta, EY where he was responsible for advising clients including Microsoft, Bytedance, and Thomson Reuters on cybersecurity, identity, and privacy, and helped close M&A from a security perspective.
Accomplishments
1. Senthil is involved in building strategies in the emerging field of security and Artificial Intelligence to prevent and detect adversaries early in the process to safeguard user trust and experience. Prior to that, he played the critical role of security advisor for F500 companies in building their tactical and long-term security strategy.
2. Senthil is passionate about security education and currently serving as an advisory board member for Ithaca College, helping develop a curriculum to equip the next generation of cybersecurity practitioners. He also serves as an advisory member for Harvard Business Review (HBR) and a Chartered Board Member for VigiTurst to drive excellence in cybersecurity.
3. Senthil has advised and implemented security solutions that prevented his client's reputational and monetary loss over the years and has received multiple security and client excellence awards.
