NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS

As a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with over a decade of experience, I have dedicated my career to strengthening cybersecurity governance and resilience across the public sector. At Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, I lead the Information Security Department, driving initiatives that align cybersecurity with organizational strategy, innovation, and national digital transformation goals.

Under my leadership, the organization achieved major milestones, including successful implementation of ISO 27001/27022 certification and compliance with Dubai Electronic Security Center’s ISR v3 framework—both pivotal steps in enhancing security maturity. I also established and currently manage the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring real-time monitoring, proactive threat management, and rapid incident response, which have significantly reduced organizational cyber risks.

My approach to cybersecurity is rooted in innovation. I actively support AI-driven security initiatives that leverage machine learning to enhance threat detection, automate processes, and improve decision-making. By integrating these advanced solutions, our organization has improved efficiency and developed a more adaptive, intelligence-led security posture.

Beyond technical achievements, I focus on building a strong security culture. I lead awareness programs, mentor team members, and foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure every employee understands their role in protecting digital assets. I also chair weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring that innovation and technology upgrades are implemented securely and responsibly.

My work has been recognized through multiple industry honors, including Cyber Security Excellence Award 2023, Technology Transformer of the Year 2022, and CISO of the Year 2022. These recognitions reflect not only personal achievement but also the success of a team-driven approach that prioritizes integrity, innovation, and impact.

As an Emirati woman in cybersecurity, I am proud to represent a growing community of women leaders advancing digital trust and resilience in the UAE.
