NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS

Shane Buckley is the President and CEO of Gigamon. He previously served as President and COO before being appointed CEO in 2022. Buckley brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience, having held senior roles at Silicon Valley technology companies, including CEO of Xirrus, General Manager and Senior Vice President at NETGEAR, President and CEO of Rohati Systems, and Chief Operating Officer at Nevis Networks.

Buckley is driving global expansion and strengthening the company’s leadership in the emerging deep observability market. With a proven track record of creating and scaling new market categories, he has guided Gigamon through a period of sustained innovation and growth. Under his direction, the Deep Observability Pipeline has continued to evolve, delivering actionable network-level intelligence that amplifies the power of cloud, security, and observability tools across hybrid environments. Today, the platform enables organizations to leverage network-derived intelligence across virtual machines, containers, cloud, and physical infrastructure, illuminating blind spots and vulnerabilities where threat actors may hide.

Recognizing the growing impact of AI-driven threats and the rapid adoption of generative AI technologies, Buckley spearheaded the launch of the first phase of the multi-year AI strategy. This initiative embeds AI directly into the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline to eliminate blind spots, strengthen governance, and enhance operational efficiency. Initial innovations include Gigamon AI Traffic Intelligence, which provides real-time visibility into GenAI and large language model traffic, and Gigamon Insights, an agentic AI application purpose-built for network-derived telemetry that delivers instant guidance to security and IT operations teams. Additional AI-driven capabilities are planned for rollout in 2026.

This continued innovation has positioned Gigamon as a leader in the high-growth deep observability market. In 2025, Frost and Sullivan and 650 Group identified Gigamon as the leading vendor in the category. Frost and Sullivan also named the company its 2025 Company of the Year for Global Network Observability in Cybersecurity, citing performance across innovation, customer purchase and service experience, price-to-performance value, and overall customer ownership experience.

Gigamon supports some of the most complex and highly regulated organizations in the world, including more than 80% of Fortune 100 enterprises, 9 of the 10 largest mobile network providers, hundreds of government agencies and educational institutions, and more than 4,000 global enterprise customers such as Lockheed Martin, AWS, and the DoD. Under Buckley’s leadership, the company continues to deliver the scale, performance, and security organizations require to modernize and protect hybrid cloud environments.
