Sivan is the CEO and Founder of Onyxia Cyber, a Cybersecurity Management Platform that is designed to empower CISOs with a core platform that enables them to continually strengthen their cybersecurity programs and bridge their cybersecurity efforts and strategies to the business.
Onyxia has achieved several milestones this year highlighted by completing the launch of the first-ever AI-powered Cybersecurity Management Platform. The platform significantly eases the load on Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) as it streamlines both security operations and risk management and, in doing so, better prepares security leaders to meet the demands of new industry regulations like the SEC cybersecurity rule. In addition to this, Onyxia was accepted into the FinSec Innovation Lab by MasterCard and Enel X and was recognized by Gartner as a sample vendor in the Cyber Defense Planning and Optimization (CPDO) category.
Only coming out of beta in August 2023, Onyxia Cyber has already established a strong CISO advisory board and closed deals with several industry-leading customers from Real Estate, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and more.
For her efforts leading Onyxia, Sivan was recognized with a Globee Award for “Women-Owned Startup Of the Year” and named an “Inspiring FinTech Females 2023.” She continues to push the boundary for women in cybersecurity, regularly contributing articles to Forbes, appearing on Nasdaq’s “Trade Talks,” and being a featured guest of top cybersecurity podcasts and panels.
Additionally, Sivan, as the Director of the Master’s Program in Cybersecurity at YU (Katz) which ranked No. 2 on Fortune’s 2022-23 list, developed a real-world curriculum ensuring the next generation of security professionals is prepared to combat the ever-evolving threat landscape ahead of them.
Accomplishments
Sivan is on a mission to help Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and security leaders gain a centralized view of their cybersecurity programs and streamline their responsibilities. With the SEC’s cybersecurity risk management requirement for public companies to restructure their risk management strategies at the board level, there is a growing demand for a unified platform to help CISOs act fast by making smarter security and investment decisions. Sivan’s solution offers CISOs a single place to measure, manage, and convey the business value of their cybersecurity programs.
Sivan continuously shares her knowledge and expertise to encourage the next generation of female cybersecurity experts, running technical and educational workshops in cybersecurity, speaking at conferences worldwide, and contributing to information and cybersecurity magazines regularly, exemplifying her commitment to raising awareness about cybersecurity challenges and solutions. Her work as Yeshiva University’s Director of the Cybersecurity Masters Program has garnered widespread recognition, with Fortune Magazine ranking the graduate program as #2 in the 2022-23 list. In 2019, she founded Cyber Ladies NYC and developed a unique cybersecurity program for Manhattan High School for Girls.
