Overview

Socura Managed Detection and Response (MDR) is a specialist service that enables organisations to scale their security capabilities and significantly reduce the time it takes to identify and eliminate threats.

Working with the Welsh Government, Socura is the MDR provider chosen to deliver CymruSOC – Wales’ National Cyber Security Operations Centre.

CymruSOC is a vital part of the Cyber Action Plan for Wales and the first initiative of its kind in the UK. It is responsible for helping to secure 20+ public bodies, including councils and fire and rescue services.

Key Capabilities / Features

- Extended detection and response across networks, endpoints and clouds
- 24/7 alert analysis, triage and investigation
- Proactive human-led threat hunting
- Genuine incident notification
- Automated threat containment and disruption
- Ongoing system tuning and detection engineering

How we are different

- Much more than a traditional service
Unlike other providers, Socura doesn’t throw alerts over the wall. We disrupt and contain threats and only notify customers of what’s truly important. 96% of the incidents we handle require no client assistance.

- A tailored approach
Instead of the one-size-fits-all approach of some providers, we deliver an MDR service tailored to the needs of organisations. By sharing threat intelligence amongst the public bodies participating in CymruSOC, Socura is fostering a ‘defend as one’ approach across Wales.

- Open and honest
We don’t make promises we can’t keep or charge customers for service improvements once they’re onboarded. Ongoing tuning and detection engineering are included.

“With Socura monitoring and responding to threats 24/7, we get an early detection warning. The advanced detection coverage Socura provides means we are protected more comprehensively than ever.”
CISO, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council
