About the Cybersecurity Industry Solution awards
What belongs in this group
This group is for a security product or service built for one sector or adapted to it. A deployment for customers in one sector can be entered too. The vendor or service provider enters it, and it is judged on what it does for organizations in that sector. On these pages, a solution means a security product or service built for a sector.
The other three groups cover different kinds of nominee. Cybersecurity Product / Service is for a product or service judged on what it does in every sector, Cybersecurity Company for the company itself, and Cybersecurity Professional / Team for people and teams. A product that serves every sector can also be entered here when the nomination is about its work in one sector. A bank, hospital or government agency that wants its own security work recognized can enter its team, program or project in Cybersecurity Professional / Team.
Choosing a category
Start with the category that names the sector your customers are in. A solution used in several sectors can be entered in each one, with a nomination written for that sector. If no category names the sector, or the solution was built to serve several sectors at once, enter Best Cybersecurity Industry Solution, the open category of this group. Each category is judged separately.
Some categories are easy to confuse. Government is for civilian agencies and National Cyber Defense for military, intelligence and national security customers. Critical Infrastructure covers essential services in general, and Energy is one of them with its own category. Professional Services means solutions for law, accounting, consulting and similar firms, not security services. Software Industry is for solutions built for software companies, and Technology Industry for the rest of the technology sector. A solution that fits two of these can enter both.
Three categories each cover a narrower subject within a wider sector: Digital Banking Security within Financial Services, and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and Vulnerability Management for Healthcare within Healthcare. A solution that fits the narrow category can enter the wider one as well. Brand Protection and Dark Web Monitoring Provider of the Year is different from the rest: it recognizes a provider, whatever sectors it serves.

How entries are judged
An independent jury of security practitioners, analysts and CISOs scores each nomination on leadership, innovation and impact. Each nomination competes in its category against entries from vendors of similar size and region, so a mid-sized vendor is not ranked against a global enterprise. Your entry package, any sponsorship and public votes do not affect the jury's scores.
Strong industry entries show:
- Leadership — proof that the sector trusts the solution: customers named or described, share of the sector served, approvals and certifications the sector requires.
- Innovation — what was built or changed for the sector that a product not built for it does not offer.
- Impact — measurable results for customers in the sector, such as incidents prevented, downtime avoided, audits passed and regulations met. Specific numbers and named outcomes carry more weight than adjectives.
Useful evidence includes customer references from the sector, numbers of sites, users or devices protected, and the sector regulations the solution helps customers meet. Each category page explains what the jury looks for in that category.
The jury awards Gold, Silver or Bronze, or a Finalist badge, and results are published on this site and announced to the 600,000+ member Cybersecurity Insiders community. Every approved nomination also enters the separate Community Choice award, decided by public votes.
Past recipients are listed on each category page and on the season winners pages for 2026, 2025 and 2024.
How to enter
A vendor or service provider can enter its own solution, or someone else can enter it, for example a PR or marketing agency acting for a client. The nomination form has a confidential field for detail that is shared with the judges and not published, such as customer names, numbers of sites, users or devices protected, or contract details. Deadlines, pricing and entry steps are on the How it Works page.
