Overview

Will Amores serves as Director of Cybersecurity Technology for the Product and Platforms Organization. In this role, he leads a team that is responsible for developing network embedded security solutions. They recently released AT&T Dynamic Defense™, a built-in security solution – the first and only solution in the market. In his previous role with AT&T Cybersecurity and Edge Solutions, Will also led the team that launched the industry’s first global managed Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution in the market.

Will has been with AT&T for the past 26 years and has held many positions in Cybersecurity product management where he was responsible for driving the security strategy and product portfolio. Prior to that, he was an Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AT&T in APIs.

Will earned his undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the Philippines, a BS in Telecommunications Engineering and a Cybersecurity Certification from Champlain University.

Accomplishments

• Will lead the AT&T Security Product Management and Development team responsible for the development of AT&T Dynamic Defense – a ground-breaking innovative product offering a robust shield against cyber threats, enabling AT&T’s customers to do more than they ever cold before, by detecting and blocking threats in real-time, before they reach a customer’s network. AT&T Dynamic Defense is the first-and-only network with built-in security controls. This offer is a game changer in the industry and sets new standards of networking with reliability, security and expertise to protect businesses.


• In previous roles, Will was responsible for launching new products and services in the Managed Security Services portfolio by defining solutions based on customer needs, leading a cross-functional team from various organizations, collaborating with strategic suppliers, developing appropriate system architecture, and creating a strategy to help generate demand.


• Will is considered an industry expert on security and networking with a passion for driving new growth and enhancing the customer experience. Responsible for the security portfolio P&L with accountability, execution across multi-disciplinary teams and possesses 26+ years in progressively more technology roles across product management and operations.
