Brief Overview
Yuval is President at CyberProof and Managing Director at UST. CyberProof is a cybersecurity platform and services innovator helping enterprises use information technology to solve business problems, without fear of cyber-attacks.
CyberProof’s parent company UST decided to incept a cybersecurity company in Israel – and hired Yuval to establish the Israeli anchor, leveraging the local innovation hub. Under Yuval’s guidance, CyberProof grew to include over 500 employees in seven locations. CyberProof was recognized as Leader in the Forrester Wave™ Midsize MSSPs 2020; Frost & Sullivan’s European Technology Innovation Leader Award 2021; and ISG Provider Lens’ 2021 Top US MSSPs.
Since UST’s Israel office opened, Yuval was pivotal in creating entrepreneurial frameworks – leading the establishment of UST subsidiary Demystify, an Explainable AI company. In 2020, Yuval opened UST’s first open innovation and startup collaboration hub – UST Innovation Israel – which incorporates Israeli tech into UST’s sales pipeline, providing new value to UST’s Fortune 500 clientele through disruptive technologies and solid partnerships.
Before CyberProof, Yuval was VP Business Development at large Israeli conglomerate IDB Group. Prior to that, he spent a decade in Israel’s public sector, ending his role as Intelligence Ministry Director General. As an officer in one of Israel’s top intelligence agencies, Yuval’s cybersecurity background is rooted earlier in his career through military service in agency 8200. Yuval was a government official in the Israeli Finance Ministry and senior economic adviser to the Finance Minister and Chief of Staff. He worked as an Adjunct Professor at Tel Aviv University, teaching macroeconomics.
Yuval is a leading voice on cybersecurity and geopolitical development – recently seen in Finance Digest (https://www.financedigest.com/the-state-of-cybersecurity-in-todays-financial-services-sector.html) and Finance Derivative (https://www.financederivative.com/how-financial-organizations-can-protect-their-data/).
Yuval is also a lawyer who clerked in Israel’s Supreme court. He holds a master’s and bachelor’s in economics and bachelor’s in law from Hebrew University.
